The 5^th Congress of the Asian Association of Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions /AACC/ was held in Ulaanbaatar on August 18-19, 2022 under the theme “Recent Developments of Constitutional Justice in Asia".

During the conference, 16 presentations were delivered and discussed on the topics of respecting constitutionalism and fostering it further, protecting fundamental human rights and freedoms in the face of the pandemic, and strengthening the role of the Constitutional courts and equivalent institutions toward improving this protection mechanism. Moreover, the Congress adopted the Ulaanbaatar Declaration.

All these documents were compiled and published as a special volume under the auspices of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia and AACC.

The Constitutional Court of Mongolia hosted the 5^th Congress as the Court presides over the AACC in 2021-2023.
