Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic

AUTHORITIES

Powers of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic are enumerated in Article 97 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, according to which the Court: 

  1. gives official interpretations of the Constitution;
  2.  resolves cases on conformity of laws and other normative legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Constitution;
  3. gives an opinion on the constitutionality of international treaties to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party and that have not entered into force;
  4.  resolves disputes over competence between the branches of state power;
  5.  gives an opinion to the draft law on amendments and additions to the Constitution;
  6.  gives an opinion on compliance with the established procedure for bringing charges against the President.

Structure

1. SECRETARY GENERAL
The Secretary General has the task of organizing the personnel, organizational, scientific and analytical, information and reference, financial and economic support of the Constitutional Court.

 2. EXPERT AND ANALYTICAL DEPARTMENT
The department has the duty of providing scientific and analytical support to the activities of the Constitutional Court.

 3. DEPARTMENT OF ANALYTICS

The department has the duty of providing organizational and analytical support of the activities of the Constitutional Court. 

 4. DEPARTMENT OF LEGAL AND ORGANIZATINAL SUPPORT

The department has the duty of providing reference – informational support for the activities of the Constitutional Court, as well as analysis of the implementation of its decisions.

 5. DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT AND DOCUMENTATION SUPPORT
The department has the duty of providing personnel and documentation support of the Constitutional Court.

 6. DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF LEGISLATION 

The department has the duty of providing organizational support for the international relations of the Constitutional Court.

 7. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECTOR
The sector has the duty of providing software and technical support of the activities of the Constitutional Court.

 8. FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEPARTMENT
The department has the duty of providing financial and economic support of the activities of the Constitutional Court.
