On 25 June 2026, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted the Online Meeting of the Secretaries General of AACC. The meeting brought together representatives from 18 member —Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Türkiye, Thailand, Jordan, Iraq, India, Maldives, Mongolia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Palestine, the Philippines, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. Participants included Secretaries-General, Heads of Registries and Secretariats, Heads of International Relations Offices, and Liaison Officers from the respective constitutional courts and equivalent institutions, reflecting the broad institutional representation of AACC members.

The meeting was opened by Mr. M. Abdusalomov, President of the AACC and Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that the Constitutional Court of Uzbekistan is honored to serve as the President of the AACC for the 2025–2027 term. He noted that this presidency represents not only a great privilege but also a profound responsibility, reflecting the confidence placed in Uzbekistan and recognition of its international standing in the field of constitutional justice. He further stated that Uzbekistan views its presidency not merely as an organizational responsibility but as an opportunity to elevate cooperation among constitutional courts across Asia to a new level founded upon trust, openness, mutual respect, and practical collaboration. In this regard, the online working meeting constituted an important practical step toward achieving these objectives.

The meeting was convened to jointly discuss preparations for the upcoming Meeting of the AACC Secretaries General, the Board of Members Meeting (BoMM), and the 7th AACC Congress, all of which are scheduled to take place in Samarkand. Participants also exchanged views on the proposed agendas, the concept of Samarkand Declaration, and agreed upon future steps for cooperation.
